Dr. Amy Hayek

Amy Hayek, DVM, MA, CVA, CVSMT

                   

An Iowa native, Dr. Amy Hayek has owned her veterinary practice East Coast Equine for more than 8 years.
She holds  BS and MA degrees from Iowa State University and is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University (DVM). Dr. Hayek's advanced studies include:
Spinal Manipulative Therapy and Advanced Neurology in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (CVSMT) at the Healing Oasis
Acupuncture (CVA) at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine

Dr. Hayek teaches at Parker Chiropractic University in the Animal Chiropractic Department.  It is Dr. Hayek's goal to help more professionals learn what she has been learning and studying for the past 15 years.  She has learned that horses can stay healthy and be sound when allowed to follow their evolutionary path, and that having more veterinarians who understand this is good for the horse population.  She also offers veterinary board approved continuing education seminars with her husband, Dr. Bill Ormston, throughout the year.
