phase of a state-of-the-art equine treatment center located in St.
George, SC.
The Barn at East Coast Equine is now open and
prepared to house transported horses needing overnight accommodations.
The facility is located at 365 Mulberry Road in St. George, South
Carolina, one half mile west of I-95 at Exit 82, conveniently accessed
by those traveling north and south on the interstate corridor. With its
convenient access to both I-26 and I-95, and its central location
between New York and Miami, this will be a welcome stop for the hundreds
of horses traveling through the area to compete in races, shows and polo
matches up and down the east coast. The 36-stall luxury boarding stable,
owned and supervised by Amy Hayek, DVM, MA, CVA, CVSMT, of East Coast
Equine, LLC, features custom lighting, 20-foot plus ceilings, in-ceiling
fans and an open design for optimum ventilation, low-dust absorbent
stall bedding, and other amenities beneficial for horses showing signs
of travel stress or anxiety. A large gated entrance to the facility
allows easy access for big rigs and trucks, there is ample parking for
large trailers, and there are hook-ups for drivers wanting to remain on
site.
