Practical Trimming for Horse Owners

Prerequisite: Enrollment in / completion of "Hoof Care Theory" -
Module 1 + 2

This course is for the horse owner who wants to get efficient enough to trim his or her own horses. In general this horse owner has his or her horses already under the care of a holistic hoof care professional. Now it is time to gradually take over the care for the hooves.

Trim days are set up in blocks of 5. Owner trim days consist of  1 1/2 hours of theory every day and  2 hours of trimming, 3 1/2 hours in all.  As these are actually 1/2 days, you may opt with your instructor to schedule 2 consecutive sessions on the same day. There will be no more than 3 students in every session. Your instructor may set up a live trim with your own horse(s).

The instructors are seasoned professionals, well versed in the theory taught in this course. They have experience with many different scenarios and are active trimmers themselves.  At this time we have instructors in Washington State (Port Angeles), Minnesota (Minneapolis), South Carolina (Columbia) and Australia (outside Melbourne).
